PLACE4U is unique in that it is a project embracing Clonmel and its environs but more importantly it is a matter of self help by all of the people coming together to create a very important and much needed facility for the town. When completed the facility will provide real and tangible benefits and it will be used by future generations with appreciation. Its location in the very heart of the town lends itself as an integration point for the fabric of the community - young, old and in between. For more information on our costs for the project please viewthis document.We are going through a very difficult economic recession at present and the availability of grants from state and semi-state/local authorities is understandably curtailed. We are not totally despondent in this regard and though the avenues open to us are limited we are working optimistically in this direction through Leader, FAS and other agencies. On the donation front we are looking to both Corporate and Personal Donations. The recession will understandably affect the ability of corporate clients to make donations to ours and other deserving causes but we must explain the concept and appeal to senior management to support our cause. We have had a large number of fundraising events to date and all have been well supported by the people of Clonmel. These we endeavour to keep relevant to the town and giving value for money to those supporting same. It is our intent to continue with these events into the future.
